About Us
Rotary Residential College provides a supportive, purpose-built environment that enhances the boarding experience for our students. Our residence accommodates up to 94 students and offers a great balance of privacy and community. Our students come from all over Western Australia, with many from the southern regions like Esperance and others from as far north as Broome and everywhere in between.
We are dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where students can thrive. Our residential life approach focuses on academic success and personal growth, building lasting friendships, and fostering teamwork. We aim for every student to feel connected to a vibrant community supporting their ongoing development.
Pastoral Care
Under the leadership of Nardine Bilston and Troy Steven, Rotary Residential College ensures a safe and supportive transition for students from home to boarding. Our team provides personalised support to help each student adapt and succeed.
We value open communication with families and encourage their active participation in college life, which supports students’ personal and academic success.
Our diverse supervisory staff come from various backgrounds, including education, healthcare, and more. They engage in ongoing training and professional development to meet the needs of all boarders. This broad range of expertise allows us to care for students from multiple perspectives, focusing on their well-being and development. Each staff member contributes to a positive learning environment, promotes health, and fosters social growth. Our teamwork and diversity are key to creating a supportive experience for every student.
Our staff offers 24/7 supervision during the school term and on weekends, maintaining high standards of care. Our team are qualified, holding current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates, a bus driver’s license with Passenger Transport Declaration (PTD) Authorisation, Working with Children Check and School Teacher Aquatic Rescue.
Our Community
The college fosters strong ties to the community, and to enhance this connection, we collaborate closely with the College Board. The board comprises experts in education, finance, and insurance, along with members from the Rotary Club and two parent representatives. Together, they offer invaluable advice and support to the college’s management team and staff. The College Board is vital in promoting the college and ensuring all activities align with our students’ best interests.
